How to Deal With Your Acne

By John Morris

Many people suffer from acne problems. These are all common conditions for teenagers, young adults and even middle-aged individuals. Don't be scared. There are ways to combat this problem.

You need to be aware of what you are eating. Eating junk food all the time inhibits your body's natural infection-fighting response. Instead, eat more fruits and vegetables and reduce the amount of sugar you consume. Establishing these healthy eating habits will ensure that your body is getting all of the vitamins and nutrients that it needs.

Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. You should drink water instead of pop. Juicing is a great way to spice things up when water isn't doing it for you. Fresh juice maximizes the amount of vitamins and minerals you get, unlike store-bought juices.

A nutritional supplement you may wish to consider is maca. Maca can help to regulate your body's systems, and a real plus is that it has no negative side effects. Start with a small dose, and be sure to follow the directions on the packaging in order to get optimum results.

You do not want to use harsh chemicals to clean your skin. These will often dry out your skin and are subject to making your condition worse instead of better. Cleansers with all-natural ingredients like tea tree oil are much better for your skin than over-the-counter cleansers with harsh chemicals.

Garlic is the natural enemy to the many bacteria which may cause infection, and eventually lead to acne. Crush two garlic cloves in a press and apply directly on the pimples. Make certain to avoid the eye area. This will quickly get rid of the infection, but may sting if applied to open sores. Make sure you rinse and dry your skin throughly shortly after applying the garlic.

Your pores are just waiting to be tightened with a green clay mask. Facial clays are an easy, effective and relaxing way to clear up oily skin. When you remove the clay, you should be sure that you rinse your face to remove all traces of the clay.

One of the primary causes of poor skin is too much stress. Stress makes your skin more vulnerable to infections by destroying its natural balance. If at all possible, keep stress in your life to a minimum, and your skin will benefit.

When you use these tips for skin care, you will have clear skin in no time. Find a daily skin care routine and be consistent with it. It is important that you wash your face twice a day, apply a weekly mask, and think about using a garlic treatment.
